Instagram Automation for Furniture Stores: Price, Size, Delivery

How furniture and home decor stores can auto-send price, dimensions and delivery areas on Instagram, and turn DM enquiries into planned showroom visits.

October 29, 2026 6 min read

Furniture is bought with a measuring tape in one hand and a phone in the other. When a furniture or home décor store in Jaipur, Kirti Nagar or Bengaluru posts a reel of a sheesham wood bed or a boucle accent chair, the comments are very specific: “price?”, “size kya hai?”, “will it fit a 10x12 room?”, “delivery to Lucknow?”, “showroom kahan hai?”, “EMI option?”.

Each of those people is close to buying, and each question has a factual answer you already have. That is exactly where Instagram automation fits: it sends price, dimensions and delivery information the moment someone asks, and moves people towards a showroom visit or a call with your sales team.

What a furniture buyer needs before they reply again

In most categories the first DM is about price. In furniture, price alone isn't enough. A buyer will not move forward until they know:

  • Price — and what it includes (mattress? cushions? assembly?)
  • Dimensions — length × width × height, in feet and inches as well as cm
  • Material and finish — solid wood, engineered wood, fabric options
  • Delivery — which cities, how long, and the charge
  • Where to see it — showroom address, timings, and whether this piece is on display

Put all five in your DM and most buyers can decide whether to visit without a single back-and-forth.

One reel, one product DM

Give each product reel its own comment-to-DM automation. Many stores use “any comment” on product reels because people type everything from “price” to “😍” to “interested”. If you prefer a keyword, put it in the caption: “Comment SOFA for size and price.”

An example DM for a sofa reel:

“Hi! This is our Arya 3-seater in performance fabric 🛋️ Size: 84″ L × 34″ D × 32″ H (213 × 86 × 81 cm). Price ₹42,000 including cushions. Available in 6 colours. Free delivery within the city in 7–10 days; other cities at actual cost.”

Buttons: See colours · Visit the showroom · Talk to sales

Those details are an illustration — use your real ones. Product cards are useful if you sell online too; one card with the photo, price and a “Buy” button is easier to tap than a long link. For more on product cards, see Instagram automation for ecommerce.

A catch-all for everything else

Your account also has brand reels, store tours and older posts. Add one “All posts” automation that answers price-type comments with your catalogue link and showroom details. Smart Matching catches “rate”, “price list bhejo” and “what's the price of the dining set”. On a reel that has its own automation, the specific one answers, so a buyer never receives both.

Turning DMs into showroom visits

Furniture is still mostly bought after touching it. The “Visit the showroom” button can lead to:

“Our showroom is at Sector 18, Noida — open 11 am to 8 pm, all days 📍 [Google Maps]. Share your phone number and the day you plan to come, and we'll keep the piece ready and make sure a designer is free to help.”

The phone number goes into your Leads list with their Instagram username. Your store manager can call the day before to confirm. That one step turns an Instagram like into a planned visit. Read more in DM automation for lead generation.

Custom sizes and bulk orders go to a person

“Can you make this in 7 feet?”, “we need 40 chairs for our café”, “can I get it in teak instead?” — these need a quote from someone who knows your workshop. The “Talk to sales” button should just collect the details and a number:

“Sure! Please share what you need (size, material, quantity) and your phone number. Our sales team will get back to you with a quote.”

Other things to keep human:

  • Discounts and bargaining. “Best price?” is a negotiation; let a salesperson take it.
  • Damaged deliveries and warranty claims. A cracked tabletop needs photos, an apology and a fix — not a catalogue link.
  • EMI and finance. Share that options exist, but leave terms and eligibility to your team or the finance partner.
  • Delivery delays. If an order is late, call the customer yourself.

The shared inbox puts the comment, the public reply and the DM in one thread, so your sales person can see what the buyer was already told.

Sale season and new arrivals

  • Festive sale: during a Diwali or end-of-season sale, update the DM prices on the first day and change them back when it ends. Out-of-date prices cause arguments in the showroom.
  • New arrivals in stories: “New collection just landed — reply NEW for the catalogue” with story reply automation.
  • Sold-out pieces: edit the reel's DM to suggest similar pieces and offer to notify them when it's back.

Which products pull clicks

Track Your Links shows how many people opened your catalogue, maps or product links from the DM. If a reel sends lots of DMs but few map clicks, buyers may be put off by the price or the delivery terms — a useful clue for your next post.
